FB Bargaining: Parties discuss discipline, harassment, pension reform

Our PSAC-CIU Bargaining Team for the FB group met with Treasury Board/CBSA the week of February 24 to continue negotiations for a new collective agreement. 

Despite comments recently made by CBSA’s national president about the need for ‘culture change’ and ‘less jargon’, our bargaining team saw no evidence of this at the bargaining table.

Strike votes for Treasury Board bargaining units begin March 16

National President Chris Aylward has authorized strike votes for members of the PA, SV, TC and EB bargaining units following the release of the Public Interest Commission (PIC) report last week.

Postes Canada : Conférence sur la négociation reportée alors que les pourparlers continuent

Il y a quelques semaines, l’AFPC-SEPC ont annoncé qu’ils amorçaient des négociations anticipées avec Postes Canada en vue de renouveler la convention collective actuelle, qui expire en août. Les pourparlers ont commencé le 27 janvier dernier.

Negotiations with Canada Post: Bargaining conference postponed while negotiations continue

Earlier this year, PSAC-UPCE announced that we would head into early negotiations with Canada Post Corporation to reach a new collective agreement before the current one expires in August 2020.   In this context, we commenced bargaining on January 27th, 2020.

Four years of Phoenix: workers rally for compensation and faster progress

As the Phoenix pay disaster hits the four year mark, PSAC members across Canada are holding public protests to increase pressure for government action. Their demands are simple:

  • fair compensation for the hardships PSAC members have endured;
  • more staff and resources to prevent new issues, resolve pay problems faster, and to stabilize the system as soon as possible.
