PSAC stands with Ontario’s francophone community

While the Ford government is backing away from its decision to abolish the Office of the French Language Services Commissioner, the Public Service Alliance of Canada believes that the reversal should also include the government’s plans to scrap the creation of a Francophone university. This change in direction comes a few days after the Ontario government announced cuts to Ontario's Francophone institutions, causing dismay across the country.

CUPW and CLC issue joint statement in support of workers

The Canadian Labour Congress joins the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) in calling on Canada Post to negotiate fair contracts for postal workers. The CLC also joins CUPW in condemning the federal government’s back-to-work legislation.

Vendredi dernier, l'AFPC et le Conseil du Trésor ont confirmé que les parties échangeront des propositions et entameront les négociations en vue d'une nouvelle convention collective pour le groupe Services frontaliers (FB) la semaine du 7 janvier 2019. Notre équipe de négociation du groupe FB a hâte de reprendre les négociations et de faire de l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada un meilleur milieu de travail.

Border Services bargaining to begin in January

Last Friday, PSAC and Treasury Board confirmed that the parties will exchange proposals and commence negotiations for a new collective agreement for the Border Services (FB) group the week of January 7th, 2019. Our FB bargaining team looks forward to returning to bargaining and making Canada Border Services Agency a better place to work.

Le 20 novembre, Journée du souvenir trans, l’AFPC tient à commémorer les personnes trans, bispirituelles et non binaires victimes de transphobie qui ont perdu la vie. Nous soulignons également le travail accompli à l’échelle de la planète pour mettre fin à la violence motivée par la transphobie.

Trans Day of Remembrance: PSAC works towards trans inclusion

On November 20^th, Trans Day of Remembrance, PSAC mourns and commemorates the trans, two-spirit and non-binary people who have lost their lives to transphobia. We honour the work that is being done in communities across the world to combat transphobic violence.
