Our PSAC-USJE bargaining team is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), one day before our arbitration date. This achievement is the result of the hard work, commitment, and determination of our bargaining team and members across the country.
March 21 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The date commemorates the 1960 Sharpeville massacre in South Africa, when police opened fire on peaceful protestors opposing apartheid laws. It stands as a solemn reminder of the violent realities of apartheid — a system built on institutionalized racial discrimination and the ongoing need to confront racism in all its forms.
World Water Day takes place every year on March 22. This year’s United Nations theme, “Where water flows, equality grows,” reminds us that safe water and sanitation are human rights and essential for equality. This day and theme are a powerful reminder that the global water crisis does not affect everyone in the same way, especially women, girls, and Indigenous and racialized communities.
