PSAC challenges unlawful collection of Phoenix overpayments through Canada Revenue Agency and collection agencies

For nearly a decade, PSAC members have been living with the fallout from the Phoenix pay system. Now, some former federal public service workers are facing new hardships as the government attempts to collect years-old Phoenix overpayments — some dating back 10 years — by referring the cases to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and private collection agencies.

CFIA bargaining conference: members establish priorities

PSAC members at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) participated in a national bargaining conference October 28-30 to discuss and prioritize bargaining issues and elect their bargaining team. The current collective agreement expires in December, and a new round of talks is about to begin.
