An uneventful Public Interest Commission (PIC) report has suggested the fate of 5,800 Parks Canada workers is tied to PSAC’s largest bargaining unit – the PA group.

TC PIC report identifies wage gaps, allowances and occupational group structure as places for movement

A positive Public Interest Commission (PIC) report has been issued for the TC group recommending the employer move on several important issues raised by your bargaining team. The report names a number of TC’s priorities such as closing wage gaps, parity with CFIA for EGs, increased allowances, and movement on the archaic classification system as areas where the employer can improve its offer.

Clone of COVID-19: Your rights at work

Who is at the highest risk of contracting the virus at work?

Front line workers in direct contact with the public are at the highest risk. This may include airport personnel, border services and immigration employees, teaching assistants, passport offices employees, healthcare staff etc. Anyone who comes in close proximity with a possibly infected individual could be at risk for contracting the coronavirus.

Three PSAC Regional Conventions Postponed

As noted yesterday, in keeping with recommendations from both local and national health authorities regarding COVID-19, the union has made the difficult decision to suspend activities that would require a large gathering of members.

The following PSAC Regional Conventions will be postponed and efforts made to reschedule at a future date:
