In a significant victory, PSAC has closed the pay gap between Engineering and Scientific Support (EG) members in the Technical Services (TC) group and EGs at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) once and for all after a successful arbitration ruling on January 6, 2022. After implementation, the new maximum rate for EGs will be 3.3% higher.
PSAC and Treasury Board have reached an agreement to lift the moratorium on the automatic cash-out of vacation and compensatory leave for the PA, TC, EB, SV and FB groups.
Following the last round of negotiations, the TC bargaining team negotiated an arbitration process that would allow for members in the EG classification group to continue the push for pay parity with their counterparts at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). EGs in the TC group are currently paid 3.3% less than EGs at CFIA.
