Collective bargaining with Treasury Board resumed this week and PSAC put forward its common proposals for all Treasury Board groups, which cover about 90,000 workers in the federal public service.

PSAC’s Technical Services group include federal public service employees who hold skilled technical positions such as engineering and scientific support positions, technical inspectors, enforcement workers, designers, and illustrators.

Treasury Board did not update its leave system to include Union leave (Peoplesoft code 641) before January 1st. Treasury Board estimates it will have the necessary coding completed by February 15th.

Having union leave without pay converted to a system whereby the employer puts the member on union leave with pay and invoices us after the fact is a long standing proposal of PSAC TB and Agency bargaining units.
