Our TC bargaining team is heading back to the table with Treasury Board and a third-party mediator on October 24–25. Earlier this week, PSAC announced strike votes for TC, PA, and EB members will begin on November 16.

Our bargaining team is committed to getting a fair deal for TC members. Treasury Board has continued to push concessions and an insulting wage offer that doesn’t keep up with the cost of living, while failing to address our priorities. We insist that the employer comes to the table this weekend ready to bargain.  

TC members work every day to keep our communities safe and secure — they inspect the aircraft, ships, and trains we take, ensure our food is safe to eat, protect our oceans and wildlife, and help search-and-rescue crews reach us when we need them. These workers deserve respect for the important work they do.

What are we fighting for?  

Our bargaining team is committed to securing a fair contract and will continue pushing for improvements on key member priorities, including:  

• Fair wages and market adjustments: Fair wage increases and market adjustments to ensure TC members are compensated properly for the work they do.  
• Job security: Protecting members against job cuts as nearly 15,000 PSAC members have received workforce adjustment notices — over 70% of whom are women. Since March 2025, over 800 TC members have received WFA affected notices.   
• Pension improvements: Expanding equitable pension reform legislation to all enforcement workers so that these workers can retire with 25 years of service without penalty. 
• AI guardrails: Establishing strict protections around artificial intelligence and workplace surveillance.  
• Improved leave and worklife balance: Pushing for improved leave provisions, reproductive health supports, and telework.
