PSAC’s Social Justice Fund is proud to support the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Partners in Pride program with a donation that will help fund the health and human rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in sub-Saharan Africa. The contribution aligns with the 2023 Pride season, an annual celebration of the progress we’ve made, and a reminder of the work that still lies ahead for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

National Public Service Week – June 11 to 17 – is a time to recognize the many contributions of federal public service workers to our country and our communities.
Together, more than 155,000 PSAC members led the fight for better remote work protections during this round of negotiations – and we won. The gains you made by taking strike action will benefit not just PSAC members, but all workers in Canada.
In 2021, PSAC launched the Anti-Racism Action Plan to review how our union serves, mobilizes, engages and represents Indigenous, Black, Asian and racialized members and works to address harm and build a truly anti-racist union.
Last month, PSAC made a presentation to the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights on anti-Black racism, sexism and systemic discrimination in the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC), and more broadly throughout the federal public service.

Last week, the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board (FPSLREB) appointed a Public Interest Commission (PIC) to help advance negotiations for 5,000 Parks Canada members. The appointment of the PIC follows PSAC’s declaration of impasse after a year –and –a half of bargaining.
On May 3, the PSAC-UTE bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with Canada Revenue Agency. The bargaining team recommends ratification of the new agreement.
