RCMP Civilian Members to participate in Treasury Board ratification votes, terms and conditions remain frozen

More than 600 Civilian Members of the RCMP, who now form part of our Treasury Board bargaining units, will be asked for the first time to participate in the Treasury Board ratification vote process when it’s announced in the coming days.

RCMP Civilian Members are “pay-matched” to the PA, SV, and TC groups, which means the wage increases negotiated as part of those tentative agreements will apply to CMs once the agreements are ratified and implemented. The majority of CMs will fall under the PA agreement, but we have several groups matched to the TC and SV groups. If you are unsure which collective agreement applies to you, contact the USJE CM information account at CM-Info-MC@psac-afpc.com.

Summary of the tentative agreements:

Outside of wages, RCMP CMs’ existing terms and conditions of employment, like vacation leave and sick leave, are still frozen as part of the memorandum of understanding PSAC secured, until they can be formally negotiated with Treasury Board.

Discussions are ongoing with Treasury Board to reach an agreement to update these terms and conditions, but we remain stuck on two main issues — vacation and sick leave. We will continue to push the employer to expedite this negotiation process and fight for a fair resolution. CMs should be subject to all the terms and conditions found under their respective collective agreement once we have an agreement on the outstanding issues.

More details will be released in the coming days on the ratification vote process for the Treasury Board tentative agreements. Refer to the FAQs below for more information.
