Aside from compensation for Phoenix damages, the impact of the Phoenix pay system is a central bargaining issue for each of PSAC’s federal public service bargaining units.

As rail blockades and nation-wide solidarity actions in support of the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs continue, we call on Prime Minister Trudeau to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing dispute through nation-to-nation talks.

Shalene has held various positions in her local, including secretary, steward, vice president and president. Currently, she holds the Northeastern Representative for PSAC’s Ontario Council.

In a landmark collective bargaining victory, members at Saint John Airport (YSJ) secured the right to a defined benefit pension plan, ensuring employees have a stable income in retirement.
