Telework: Joint letters calling for urgent action from TB President Anita Anand, NPD leader Jagmeet Singh

This week, PSAC joins 15 federal public service unions at the National Joint Council (NJC) in sending letters to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and President of the Treasury Board Anita Anand to share our outrage with the federal government’s decision in-office mandate. The updated policy requires all federal public service workers in the core public administration and in separate agencies to work on-site a minimum of three days per week.

Équité salariale : 20e anniversaire du rapport Bilson

C’est aujourd’hui le 20e anniversaire du rapport final du Groupe de travail sur l’équité salariale, intitulé L’équité salariale : une nouvelle approche à un droit fondamental, aussi appelé rapport Bilson. Le Groupe de travail, mandaté par le gouvernement du Canada, a formulé une série de recommandations visant à faire progresser l’équité salariale dans les milieux de travail sous réglementation fédérale.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the Pay Equity Task Force’s report ‘Pay Equity: A new approach to a fundamental right’, also known as the Bilson Report. The task force, mandated by the Government of Canada, made a series of recommendations to advance pay equity in the federally regulated sector.

Pour des modalités de télétravail qui vous conviennent

La décision malavisée du gouvernement d’obliger les fonctionnaires fédéraux à travailler à partir du bureau au moins trois jours semaine fait carrément fi de leur bien-être, en plus de brimer leur droit à la négociation collective. 

Cette décision, prise sans même consulter le personnel et les syndicats, va à l’encontre de l’entente sur le télétravail conclue avec l’AFPC lors de la dernière ronde de négociations.  

Ça ne se passera pas comme ça.

Telework that works for workers

The government’s misguided decision to mandate federal public service workers into the office at least three days per week blatantly disregards their well-being and violates their collective bargaining rights. 

This decision was made without any consultation with unions or workers, and flies in the face of the telework agreement PSAC negotiated in the last round of bargaining.  

It’s time to fight back.

Today, with blatant disregard for the wellbeing of its workers, the government announced that come September, federal public service workers will be required to be in-office a minimum of three days per week.

Telework: Speculation swirls about move to three days in office for federal workers 

PSAC cannot substantiate rumours circulating in the media this week that the federal government plans to increase its mandate to three days in the office per week for federal public service workers.
