Treasury Board bargaining: Have your say in the next round of negotiations

PSAC is getting ready for the next round of bargaining for the Program and Administrative Services (PA), Technical Services (TC), Operational Services (SV), and Education and Library Science (EB) groups. As the first step in this process, we need to hear from you.

Des membres de l’AFPC au Conseil du Trésor et dans d’autres organismes contraints de rembourser leur montant forfaitaire de 2 500 $

Or, certains membres ont dû rembourser ce montant parce qu’ils touchaient des prestations d’assurance-emploi au moment où ils l’ont reçu. On parle essentiellement de travailleuses et de travailleurs saisonniers et en congé parental, mais aussi de membres en congé non payé en raison d’une blessure ou d’une maladie et recevant des prestations de maladie.

$2,500 lump sum payments: Some Treasury Board and agency members experiencing issues

It has come to our attention that this payment has been clawed back for some members who were receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits at the time when they received the lump sum. This most notably applies to seasonal employees and those who were on parental leave. It may also apply to members who were on leave without pay due to illness or injury and who were receiving EI sickness benefits.

Largest federal unions launch major fightback campaign against new in-office mandate

In a unified action, Canada’s largest federal unions representing more than 270,000 federal public service workers have filed a series of legal challenges and will be taking action across the country in opposition to the Liberal government’s new mandate requiring its workers to report to the office three days per week.

Télétravail : des syndicats exhortent Anita Anand et Jagmeet Singh d’agir de toute urgence

Cette semaine, l’AFPC et 15 syndicats de la fonction publique fédérale siégeant au Conseil national mixte ont fait front commun pour exprimer au chef du NPD Jagmeet Singh et à la présidente du Conseil du Trésor Anita Anand leur indignation devant la décision du gouvernement d’imposer trois jours de travail en personne aux fonctionnaires fédéraux qui travaillent à l’administration publique centrale et dans des organismes distincts.

Telework: Joint letters calling for urgent action from TB President Anita Anand, NPD leader Jagmeet Singh

This week, PSAC joins 15 federal public service unions at the National Joint Council (NJC) in sending letters to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and President of the Treasury Board Anita Anand to share our outrage with the federal government’s decision in-office mandate. The updated policy requires all federal public service workers in the core public administration and in separate agencies to work on-site a minimum of three days per week.

Équité salariale : 20e anniversaire du rapport Bilson

C’est aujourd’hui le 20e anniversaire du rapport final du Groupe de travail sur l’équité salariale, intitulé L’équité salariale : une nouvelle approche à un droit fondamental, aussi appelé rapport Bilson. Le Groupe de travail, mandaté par le gouvernement du Canada, a formulé une série de recommandations visant à faire progresser l’équité salariale dans les milieux de travail sous réglementation fédérale.

Pay Equity: 20 years after the Bilson Report

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the Pay Equity Task Force’s report ‘Pay Equity: A new approach to a fundamental right’, also known as the Bilson Report. The task force, mandated by the Government of Canada, made a series of recommendations to advance pay equity in the federally regulated sector.
