Across Canada, thousands of people living with disabilities face food insecurity and poverty. A well-funded federal disability income benefit can provide the kind of stable funding necessary to address this systemic problem.

Since the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board ruled in favour of public service workers regarding the use of the 699 leave last March, Treasury Board has failed to implement the decision.

PSAC continues to support vaccination as a critical public health measure to protect our workplaces and our communities. Yet as public health restrictions begin to lift across the country, it’s important to take a critical look at the federal government’s vaccination policy and how it is applied to PSAC members.  

PSAC wants to remind all our members in the core federal public administration that the deadline set by the employer to submit your vaccination attestation is Friday, October 29.

PSAC fully supports a federal vaccination policy to protect the health and safety of our members and the Canadians they serve. We know that increasing vaccination rates is the best and most reliable way to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our workplaces and our communities and encourage our members to be vaccinated.  

Canada needs a government that will reduce precarious employment, increase research funding, and invest in education for all.  Pledge to vote for a candidate that will maintain a high-quality, affordable, and accessible post-secondary education system.
