New flowcharts to help guide members impacted by public service cuts

$2,500 lump sum payments: Some Treasury Board and agency members experiencing issues

It has come to our attention that this payment has been clawed back for some members who were receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits at the time when they received the lump sum. This most notably applies to seasonal employees and those who were on parental leave. It may also apply to members who were on leave without pay due to illness or injury and who were receiving EI sickness benefits.

Class action settlement: Federal pension transfer under Ontario Sales Tax Administration reform process

PSAC is pleased to announce that a settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit involving employees who were required to pay higher transfer amounts when transferring their pensionable service time from the Ontario public service into the Federal public service pension plan. This class action was supported from the outset by PSAC.

Parks Canada: Update on lump sum payment

As part of the collective agreement that PSAC negotiated during this round of bargaining for Parks Canada members,  the $2,500 pensionable lump-sum payment will be issued to all eligible members on January 31, 2024.

October 31 deadline for reporting Treasury Board and CRA strike pay errors or submissions

PSAC set October 31, 2023, six months after the end of the strike, as the deadline for both strike pay error reports and the May 1st / May 4th compensation requests to be received by PSAC.
