UPCE-PSAC: the fight at the table continues

This week, your bargaining team met with the employer for another several days of negotiations. At the table, non-monetary proposals were discussed. Some agreements have been made on non-critical issues. However, the employer has not addressed any of the monetary proposals that were submitted.

IIC Submission

The Industrial Inquiry Commission (IIC) hearings are now complete, with an expected report being published on May 15. UPCE-PSAC is proud to stand up for workers, for public services, and for a postal system that works for all. We will continue to fight for a future where Canada Post thrives—not just for today’s workers, but for future generations who rely on a strong, public postal service.  This is why we submitted  recommendations to the Commission.

We will share an update after the report is published.

Site visits

Your bargaining team is continuing to organize site visits and virtual meetings with members across the country with PSAC negotiator, Hassan Husseini. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about the bargaining process and ask questions.

In addition to the virtual meetings on March 31 and in May, their next visits will be in Ottawa on April 10, Toronto on May 1-2, Hamilton on May 30, and Vancouver on May 6-7. If you would like to get more details about specific dates, please contact your local or your PSAC regional office.
