Worker-to-worker exchanges are a powerful educational tool that:
- develop solidarity between workers in the North and the South
 - strengthen the work of the SJF on labour rights and equity
 - develop a stronger union base against privatization and corporate globalization, and for the defence of quality public services

The consolidation of our program overseas is opening new opportunities for worker-to-worker exchanges that will allow us to share union goals and challenges with our partners in the Global South. These opportunities will help us develop common strategies to fight
- privatization
 - the imposition of anti-labour free trade agreements
 - investor state agreements that are eroding democratic governance around the globe
