PSAC is asking members who experienced financial losses, delayed treatment, unreasonable wait time when contacting Canada Life or other harm after the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) moved to Canada Life to complete a short survey.
Your story will help PSAC document the real impact of the transition and support our policy grievance against Treasury Board.
On July 1, 2023, improvements to the PSHCP negotiated by PSAC and other unions came into effect. At the same time, the federal government moved administration of the plan from Sun Life to Canada Life and MSH International.
PSAC filed a policy grievance over problems with the administration of the PSHCP since the transition, not the negotiated changes to the plan itself.
Policy grievance
The grievance is still at an early stage. Progress has been delayed by preliminary objections from the employer, which PSAC has had to address before the substance of the case can move forward. As the case proceeds, documenting what members went through and the harm caused by these administrative problems will strengthen our case.
Complete the survey
The survey gathers information about what you experienced, how it affected you and any financial or other harm that resulted. Completing it should take about 10 minutes.
Please note: Completing the survey does not guarantee compensation or any particular outcome. The information you provide might be shared with the employer as part of PSAC's required disclosure in the grievance process. If you do not want your information disclosed, you should not complete the survey.
The survey covers the Public Service Health Care Plan only. It does not cover the dental plan or disability insurance plan.
