The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and the Union of Taxation Employees (UTE) are launching nationwide strike votes for more than 35,000 workers at Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) after talks broke down over wages and remote work.
The Public Interest Commission (PIC) hearing conducted by the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board for the SV group was held on November 28-30, as well as on December 8. The parties also met in mediation, but without any success.
PSAC's Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) bargaining team tabled the last remaining proposal on telework December 13-15. Telework is a key priority for PSAC members at CFIA and across PSAC's federal bargaining tables.
