Advocacy and Representation on Workplace Racism is a course that will equip you with the skills and competencies you need to represent, advocate for and recognize the intersecting realities of Indigenous, Black, Asian and other racialized PSAC members.
By applying a trauma-informed approach to representation, stewards, local officers, and union representatives will be better able to intervene effectively in workplace racial discrimination cases and better recognize racism in the workplace to support members.
After taking this course, you will:

- What is racism and racial discrimination
- What is the impact of workplace racism
- Ways to address workplace racism and racial discrimination
Feel:
- Prepared to intervene effectively in racial discrimination cases
- Prepared to use tools to address workplace racism the tools
Be able to:
- Better recognize when racism occurs
- Advocate for and represent members on workplace racism
- Support racialized members who experience racism
