Phoenix: Emergency pay during the holidays

It’s unacceptable that federal public sector workers are facing their second holiday season with serious pay problems – many receiving no pay at all. Minister Qualtrough must take the necessary steps to end this nightmare for thousands of workers.

Since so many managers could be off over the holidays, we demanded that the employer ensures our members will have access to emergency pay as well as the support services they need over the holidays should any of them experience pay problems with Phoenix. We have been told that a plan is in place, and that both the pay centre and call centre will be in operation.
