Did you know you can give a farmer in Bolivia better access to water? For just $50, a farmer like Teodora can get the support she needs to grow good food year round, at home.
Water is crucial. But for Indigenous Quechua farmers who farm thousands of metres above sea level, in the high Andes of Bolivia, it’s in short supply much of the year. This makes it incredibly hard to grow enough healthy food for their families.
This Giving Tuesday, SeedChange is fundraising to make it possible for 400 Indigenous Quechua families to access water. With sustainable water harvesting methods, families can irrigate their plots reliably, year-round. The result is better harvests, healthier diets, and better livelihoods on their own land.
A donation of $50 gets water to an entire family!
With the political crisis unfolding in Bolivia today, this practical support for Bolivia’s Indigenous farmers is more crucial than ever.
PSAC’s Social Justice Fund will be matching the first $10,000 raised by SeedChange, dollar for dollar!
