Video background
Using a PSAC-CIU virtual background in meetings is a powerful way to show that workers are united.
How to use: Download the image. In your next Teams or Zoom meeting, go to Video Settings > Backgrounds and select Add New to upload it.
If your manager pushes back: If you're directed to remove the virtual background, ask your manager to confirm the request in writing. Comply with the direction in the moment to protect yourself from any risk of discipline, then contact your CIU branch president as soon as possible.. You can continue showing your support in other ways, such as using a virtual background, displaying a poster in your workspace, or wearing union gear where appropriate.
