PSAC’s National Women’s Conference will be held in person March 31 to April 2, 2023 in Ottawa with the theme “It’s in Our Hands: Strength, Power & Compassion.”  

PSAC women members in good standing are invited to apply to be a delegate to this Conference. As a delegate, you will participate in workshops, attend plenary sessions, debate resolutions, and elect two women to attend the PSAC National Triennial Convention in 2024. 

At the conference, delegates will take active steps to support women – Indigenous, Black, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+ women, women with disabilities, and young women – who are the majority of our union’s membership. Workshop topics include self-care and community care, women’s health in the workplace, reproductive justice, and more.  

Delegates will also have the opportunity to support a women’s shelter by collecting menstruation products for northern communities where essential health care items like tampons, pads and menstrual cups are expensive and inaccessible or completely unavailable. 

PSAC women members interested in attending this conference as delegates or observers must apply by December 16, 2022. Delegates are selected by their respective components and regions, with priority given to union leaders and activists working on issues impacting women. Delegates who are selected will be advised by email on February 6, 2023.
