PSAC-UTE head to mediation in December

Following the declaration of impasse in September after eight months of negotiations, PSAC and the Union of Taxation Employees have confirmed mediation dates with the Canada Revenue Agency for the week of December 20.

The Labour Board declared that parties are to meet in mediation ahead of a Public Interest Commission (PIC) hearing. We expect dates for the PIC to be announced shortly.

PSAC-UTE represent more than 35,000 workers at the Canada Revenue Agency. Our members at CRA deserve fair wages that keep up with inflation, job protections, and better work-life balance – all improvements that have been agreed to by other federal employers.

Member engagement is key to securing a fair contract. Over the coming weeks, there will be more information about events being organized by the leadership of PSAC-UTE to get the government and CRA to bargain a fair contract.
