As the violence continues to escalate in Gaza, PSAC has signed on to Ceasefire Now, a pan-Canadian coalition of humanitarian, labour and faith groups calling on the Canadian government to take urgent action to prevent further loss of life in the Israel-Palestine conflict.  

PSAC joins the coalition’s calls for: 

• An immediate ceasefire of all hostilities in Israel-Palestine; 

• An end to the blockade of Gaza and for the restoration of humanitarian aid and access to the basic necessities of life. 

This crisis has reached a critical point that demands immediate intervention; the Canadian government must call for a peaceful resolution to this conflict and the end of the occupation of the Palestinian territories. 

This situation weighs heavily on all of us. PSAC deeply mourns the ongoing loss of life and the suffering so many face as the situation continues to deteriorate.
