Effective December 1, 2019, the coverage of your PSAC Free $5,000 basic life insurance plan will be increasing from $5,000 to $10,000. Coverage will also be extended from 70 years old to 80 for members in good standing. Plus, the accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance will also be increasing from $5,000 to $10,000.

No action is required on your part if you had already applied for the $5,000 coverage because the change in coverage level will be automatically applied to your policy on December 1, 2019. If you did not already apply, you must apply for coverage by completing & mailing in the enrolment card to Coughlin. You will then receive a certificate indicating the $10,000 coverage.

A new insurance plan certificate confirming the new coverage level will soon be mailed to you. This will replace the previous certificate.
