Phoenix replacement Dayforce is being tested, and we need your feedback

Public Services and Procurement Canada is currently testing Dayforce as a potential replacement for the Phoenix pay system through a series of User Awareness Sessions and the National Lobby Roadshow. These events are designed to give workers a chance to explore the platform, but PSAC has concerns about whether the results of these sessions will genuinely reflect members’ experiences.

The questions posed focus on simple navigation tasks — updating a beneficiary or requesting leave — rather than addressing the critical issue at the heart of the Phoenix pay disaster: reliable and accurate pay transactions.

Despite these concerns, PSAC encourages members to attend the sessions to see for themselves what Dayforce offers — and where it may fall short. Your experiences and perspectives are crucial to ensuring any decision about a new pay system reflects the needs and realities of workers.

Your feedback

PSAC has created a survey to gather honest feedback directly from members to ensure your concerns and frustrations are captured and communicated. This survey is separate from the one offered by the employer during the session.

Your input will help send a clear message to Treasury Board that workers deserve a system that works — not another expensive experiment.
