Tentative deal between PIPSC and Treasury Board

PSAC negotiations continue

As members may be aware, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) has reached a tentative agreement with Treasury Board for 18,000 of its members. However, negotiations are still ongoing for more than 32,000 PIPSC members.

Collective bargaining with Treasury Board also continues for PSAC. This week, the PA team and the common issues committee are at the table with the employer. PSAC is always committed to getting the best deal we can for our members, and this commitment continues to guide our bargaining teams.

When it comes to the issue of sick leave, PSAC remains open to negotiating improvements. However, we have said from the beginning, any discussions need to adhere to the following principles:

  • must be contained in the collective agreement
  • must provide for wage replacement
  • must preserve sick leave banks
  • no third-party provider

PSAC will continue to keep its members updated.
