Canada Post negotiations maintain positive tone

Our PSAC bargaining team was back in Ottawa from October 30 to November 3, 2017 for another week of bargaining.

The parties engaged in discussions and exchanged counter proposals on all issues remaining at the bargaining table.

Positive progress, yet some concerns remain

Although the tone of negotiations was positive, our PSAC bargaining team remains concerned that the employer continues to demand the rolling back of your job security protections.

The employer revised its proposal on the job security article contained in the August Global Offer but only in form. The content of the employer demand remains the same. Despite this, both parties remain committed to continuing our discussion on this, as well as other issues.

Both parties will be back at the bargaining table on November 20th. Our PSAC bargaining team remains hopeful that a negotiated settlement, without concessions or rollbacks, can be reached. We will work diligently towards that goal.

Stay informed and get involved
