Speculation about an imminent announcement that would mandate all federal public service workers to return to workplaces a minimum of 2-3 days per week are deeply concerning and have serious implications for more than 165,000 PSAC members.  

PSAC acknowledges Treasury Board president Mona Fortier recently announced  that another review of whistleblower protection legislation will be undertaken.

On December 6, the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we remember the 14 women whose lives were stolen at the École Polytechnique in Montreal. And though it was 33 years ago, we still see a shocking lack of protection for the woman who is killed by her intimate partner every six days in Canada or the Indigenous women who are killed at a rate of nearly seven times that of non-Indigenous women.

Across Canada, thousands of people living with disabilities face food insecurity and poverty. A well-funded federal disability income benefit can provide the kind of stable funding necessary to address this systemic problem.
