During the first day of mediation, the PSAC-UTE bargaining team had no choice but to break off talks with Canada Revenue Agency over their refusal to budge on our remote work proposal, a key issue for members at the table this round.
PSAC and the Union of Taxation Employees – representing more than 35,000 workers at the Canada Revenue Agency – have declared impasse in negotiations after eight months of negotiations and continued calls for concessions from the agency, including during our latest round of talks August 31 to September 1.
