Federal Budget: Government plans deep public service cuts and weakens workers’ bargaining rights

The Public Service Alliance of Canada is deeply concerned about the federal government’s plan to slash critical public services, cut more than 40,000 federal public service workers, and undermine the collective bargaining rights of hundreds of thousands of workers.

Bargaining at CRA: Dispute over artificial intelligence

In negotiations with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) October 20-22, our PSAC-UTE bargaining team made it very clear that we are ready to negotiate in good faith, but we are not interested in steps backward for our members.

CRA bargaining kicks off 

Our PSAC-UTE bargaining team met with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on September 11 and 12 to begin negotiations for a new collective agreement on behalf of more than 30,000 members. While we are ready to bargain in good faith, we made it clear that we are seeking meaningful improvements for our members and are not interested in going backwards.
