PSAC has renewed its fight for fair retirement benefits for both Border Services (FB) members and firefighters (FR) from the Union of National Defence Employees that would provide parity with other firefighters and the broader law enforcement community.

[UPDATED] Victory: pay parity reached for EG members of TC group  [11]

In a significant victory, PSAC has closed the pay gap between Engineering and Scientific Support (EG) members in the Technical Services (TC) group and EGs at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) once and for all after a successful arbitration ruling on January 6, 2022. After implementation, the new maximum rate for EGs will be 3.3% higher.

Treasury Board members: Moratorium lifted on automatic leave cash-out [12]

PSAC and Treasury Board have reached an agreement to lift the moratorium on the automatic cash-out of vacation and compensatory leave for the PA, TC, EB, SV and FB groups.

TC group wraps up arbitration for pay parity [14]

Following the last round of negotiations [15], the TC bargaining team negotiated an arbitration process that would allow for members in the EG classification group to continue the push for pay parity with their counterparts at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). EGs in the TC group are currently paid 3.3% less than EGs at CFIA.
