The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) bargaining team tabled key proposals during negotiations October 18-20, and will be tabling our remaining proposals including wage increases, market adjustments, and allowances at the next bargaining session in mid-November.
Bargaining for the members at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency [4](CFIA) began August 23-25 as the bargaining team exchanged proposals at their first meeting with the employer. The CFIA bargaining team received a strong mandate from members at the CFIA bargaining conference [5]to address key priorities at the table.
Members at CFIA participated in a virtual national bargaining conference to prioritize bargaining issues and elect a bargaining team.
