PSAC-CIU expects the new agreement for members in the Border Services (FB) group will be signed with Treasury Board in the next few weeks. Apart from wage increases, which are retroactive, new contract terms come into effect on the date of signing.
PSAC-CIU members in the Border Services (FB) bargaining unit have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the tentative agreement with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The FB group represents over 8,500 CBSA employees who have been on the front lines of the pandemic since day one, protecting our borders and keeping Canadians safe.
The deadline to vote on the FB tentative agreement is less than one week away. FB members have until Thursday, September 23 at 12 p.m. EDT to cast their ballot.
FB members may now download the ratification kit — including full text of the tentative agreement — and the revised wage grid prior to participating in the online ratification process. The bargaining team unanimously recommends ratification of the new agreement.
Between September 7–23, PSAC-CIU members will have the opportunity to vote on the Border Services (FB) tentative agreement reached with the employer in August following nation-wide work-to-rule strike action.
