FB bargaining: Pushing back against CBSA plan for self-checkout at border     [1]

Our FB bargaining team met with the employer May 24-25 for the first bargaining session since the government introduced the 2023 federal budget and Bill C-47, the Budget Implementation Act. It was our first opportunity to oppose the changes outlined in Bill C-47 since we postponed negotiations in April in solidarity with striking Treasury Board and Canada Revenue Agency workers, and last met with the employer March 21-23.

RCMP Civilian Members to participate in Treasury Board ratification votes, terms and conditions remain frozen  [4]

More than 600 Civilian Members of the RCMP, who now form part of our Treasury Board bargaining units, will be asked for the first time to participate in the Treasury Board ratification vote process when it’s announced in the coming days.

Parks Canada bargaining proceeding to mediation and PIC to continue fight for a fair contract   [5]

Last week, the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board (FPSLREB) appointed a Public Interest Commission (PIC) to help advance negotiations for 5,000 Parks Canada members. The appointment of the PIC follows PSAC’s declaration of impasse [6] after a year –and –a half of bargaining.
