Our bargaining team met with Canada Post Corporation from February 21 to 23 and January 17 and 18.
At our last session, we spent some time clarifying our proposals to the employer. We tabled our proposal to have all members enrolled in the defined benefit component of the CPC Pension Plan. We believe that all PSAC-UPCE members should have retirement security.
We also tabled proposals to improve family leave provisions.
At our bargaining session in January, the Corporation tabled their proposal package. Among the concessions the employer is proposing are major changes to your job security provisions. Our bargaining team has serious concerns about this proposal, and we encourage you to review their proposal package and provide your feedback on the proposed concessions by sending us an e-mail at Nego2017upcefirstname.lastname@example.org . We are scheduled to resume negotiations on April 11 to 12.
