PSAC supports CUPE 2424 on the picket line

PSAC members from across Canada joined their Brothers and Sisters from CUPE Local 2424 on the picket line as staff at Carleton University fight to protect their retirement security.

PSAC raised more than $15,000 to support CUPE members and help them last one day longer than the employer.

More than 800 of Carleton’s administrative, technical and library staff have been on strike since March 5.

Sign CUPE 2424's petition letter today and help defend hard-working university staff at Carleton.

PSAC gears up for next round of bargaining with Treasury Board

After two years of Phoenix pay problems, PSAC members continue to show up to work and deliver the services Canadians depend on. The least they deserve is a fair collective agreement that recognizes the value of their work and the importance of the services they provide to Canadians.

Participez au défi « Redonnez les cartes cadeaux! »

Donate today! Young workers launch food bank gift card challenge

Young workers across Canada are turning controversy into opportunity by donating free Loblaw gift cards to charity.

Loblaw recently admitted to fixing the price of bread at stores across the country for more than a decade, and the company announced it would offer $25 gift cards to all customers as an apology.

PSAC’s Regional Young Worker Committees are shifting the price-fixing scandal into a way to help Canadians in need.

FB update: Tentative agreement reached – unanimous recommendation by bargaining team

Today, our FB bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with the Treasury Board and CBSA for salary increases that greatly exceed those provided to all other federal law enforcement agencies for 2014-2018.

This significant victory came after four years of talks, two court challenges, a charter challenge, several unfair labour practice charges, the mobilization of thousands of members, two media campaigns and over a full week of non-stop negotiations.

The FB bargaining team unanimously recommends the ratification of this new agreement.

Our bargaining team thanks our members at Canada Post for their constant support during this round of bargaining.

Phoenix: government’s commitment to delay salary clawbacks still not in effect

PSAC and our members are frustrated with the government’s failure to follow through on its commitment to delay recoveries of overpayments and emergency pay until federal public service workers have had all their pay problems resolved.
