The Public Service Dental Care Plan (PSDCP) is a mandatory dental services plan for federal public service employees and their eligible dependents for specific dental services and supplies not covered under a provincial/territorial health or dental care plan.
How does PSAC negotiate the Dental Care Plan on behalf of members?
- PSAC negotiates the Dental Plan directly with Treasury Board, separately from collective bargaining.
- In September 2018, PSAC received an arbitration award with important improvements to the Plan. The new deal lasts for three years, and is up for renegotiation by the end of 2021.
- As the expiry of the current plan approaches, PSAC will be seeking input from the membership via a survey.
