Magali Picard was elected as the National Executive Vice-President for the Public Service Alliance of Canada at PSAC’s 18th National Triennial Convention in May 2018. She previously served as the Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP) for PSAC’s Quebec Region from 2012-2018. Magali Picard is a proud member of the Huron-Wendat Nation
As NEVP, Magali is responsible for a number of portfolios including finance, the Joint Learning Program and the collective bargaining process for Border Service Officers. She also co-chairs the joint committee on Phoenix with a representative from Treasury Board.
Prior to being elected NEVP, Magali served as Regional Executive Vice-President of PSAC-Quebec from 2012 to 2018. During this period, she acted as Vice-President of the FTQ and served on the Board of Directors of its Solidarity Fund.
Before assuming that position, Magali was elected Alternate Regional Executive Vice-President at the 2008 PSAC-Quebec Convention. She also served as Regional Vice-President, Quebec, for the Union of Veterans Affairs Employees (UVAE) from 2005 to 2012.
Magali has been actively involved in PSAC for nearly 20 years, including various positions within her local (UVAE 10008). She has served on the Finance, Constitution and Collective Bargaining committees for PSAC National Conventions from 2006 to 2018. She is proud to be a part of the National Indegenous Peoples’ Circle.
