The Employer and our CFIA bargaining team met in Ottawa on October 4 to 6, 2016, where the parties reviewed all non-monetary proposals. Our team discussed collective agreement language such as Statement of Duties, Grievance Procedures and the MOU on Wash-Up time.
Our union bargaining team is committed to making improvements to our collective agreement and is rejecting all concessions that will compromise our rights and benefits.
Phoenix pay system
Once again we raised more concerns about the serious problems that continue to plague the Phoenix pay system. We addressed many issues such as over and under-payments, acting pay, benefits and pay stubs. The employer reported what it is doing to fix these issues and indicated that the majority of problems will be resolved by the end of the fiscal year.
Members are entitled to access emergency pay if they have not received their pay on time.
Please contact your Union representative if your pay issues are not being rectified or addressed in a timely fashion.
More information and updates on Phoenix are available on the PSAC website.
