Canadian Corps of Commissionaires Kingston refuse to discuss paid sick leave for veterans

Our union, local 818 has been bargaining with the Corps of Commissionaires Kingston Division since February 2015. Negotiations stalled when the employer walked away from the bargaining table March 10, refusing to discuss paid sick leave for our military veterans.

During three days of conciliation beginning August 25, the employer again said "No" to sick leave, refusing to discuss the issue.

In response, our members held their first information picket outside the Kingston military base on August 31.

It is shameful that this employer refuses to provide sick leave for our members while other Commissionaire Divisions across Canada have already done so.

Please contact the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires and let them know that you support the demands of our Commissionaire veterans.
